Improving Communication Skills

At Trenka Speech Language Services, we strive to build every individual’s communication skills to their full potential. Serving pediatrics 0 to 16 years old, we serve a wide range of communication disorders and myofunctional disorders. We believe in meeting each individual where they are with their speech and language skills and building from there to make them successful in their everyday environments. Combining play and structured therapy, family involvement is vital to the success of each child.

Employees of Trenka Speech Language Services have extensive training in helping with the communication needs of those with Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft lip and palate, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Deaf/hard of hearing, Down Syndrome, Early intervention services for birth to 3 years of age, Expressive language disorders, Receptive language disorders, Speech/Articulation disorders, Myofunctional Disorders including tongue tie, Functional oral motor skills, Phonological disorder, and Tongue thrust.

Further, Tanis, the owner and therapist of Trenka Speech Language Services, is fluent in Signed Exact English, and has a vast practical knowledge of American Sign Language. Tanis has been a part of the Southwest Montana Craniofacial clinic since 2013, applying her knowledge for speech disorders, language disorders, and myofunctional disorders in a collaborative environment. In addition, Tanis has been actively involved as a board/committee member, and proudly sponsors D.R.E.A.M, a nonprofit organization for individuals with Down Syndrome.
